It's almost time to head back to Serenity — and JoAnna Garcia Swisher is giving us a thrilling update about Sweet Magnolias.

The hit Netflix show is coming back for season 4 on February 6, and fans have been so excited to see what Maddie (JoAnna), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley) are up to this time around. Well, folks got to see a first look of the trio in the latest installment, thanks to JoAnna dropping the trailer on Instagram. In the clip posted on January 23, viewers get to see the best friends encounter highs, lows and plenty more in between with the ones they love the most. What's more, JoAnna voiced how excited she was for folks to return to Serenity alongside her for an all-new season.

"It’s here! The official trailer for Season 4 of #SweetMagnolias!!!" she wrote in the caption. "This is our best season yet and it’s coming to @netflix February 6! Can’t wait for ya’ll to see it! #PourItOut."

"My favorite guilty pleasure is back," one person wrote in the comments. "Nobody talk to me on Feb 6!! 🥂," another exclaimed. "This show is so good in so many ways. Can't wait to see what the new season brings!" a different follower added.

As folks may remember, Sweet Magnolias season 3 saw Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen in a rift amid Maddie calling out the truth behind Helen's relationship with then-boyfriend Ryan Wingate (Michael Shenefelt). This caused the women not to talk for months, and when they finally made up, it led to a more honest approach with their friendship.

Even though it's unclear how the aftermath of this will play out in season 4, it's clear from the trailer that Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen's bond is heading in a new direction. And as JoAnna told Good Housekeeping in July 2023, the trio's rift was surprisingly for the better.

"I think [the rift] adds a lot of depth to their friendship," she stated at the time. "The show literally celebrates this friendship between these three women. That is what this show is at the heart of it, and all that happens in between it... They've gone to hell and back with each other, and that type of relationship is very real and very relatable."
