Nowadays, it’s not enough for a brand to be just be one thing. Yeezy not only sells shoes, but also has a beauty trademark. Beauty YouTuber Jackie Aina has launched a self-care company to accompany her own brand. And most recently, Supreme has partnered with Pat McGrath to create a new lipstick for its Fall/Winter 2020 collection.

As a streetwear-loving beauty editor, I cannot stress how excited this partnership makes me.

The rumor of Supreme dropping a lipstick began over two years ago when beauty news Instagram account Trendmood posted a photo of Supreme’s supposedly in-the-works red lipstick. The product mock-up featured the Supreme logo and no indication of a collaboration with a major beauty brand. Beauty enthusiasts understandably wondered if a brand that had zero ties in the beauty industry could actually make a splash in an already saturated market.

Fast-forward two years and the brand just announced a beauty collaboration with the legendary makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur Pat McGrath.

At the moment, the collaboration includes only one lipstick, a red hue with the name “Supreme.” Described as an “instantly iconic bright red” lipstick on Pat McGrath’s Instagram, the lipstick includes the makeup brand’s signature MatteTrance formula and its signature gold-lipped tube with the Supreme logo on its packaging.

Although fans are patiently waiting for a price and a launch date, we do know that the lipstick will only be sold on Supreme’s website. The first drop of the Fall/Winter 2020 Collection is happening sometime this week, so this lipstick could be for sale sooner than you think.

In the meantime, here are a few of our favorite Pat McGrath lip products you can get right now while you patiently wait for the Supreme drop.
