“Suits” Alum Abigail Spencer Gave Her Spanish Boyfriend a 'Hint' About Her Valentine's Day Wishes (Exclusive)
The actress' new boyfriend joined her in Atlanta at the 2024 SCAD TVfest, where she promoted her new show 'Extended Family'
Abigail Spencer has a new man in her life.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the 2024 SCAD TVfest on Saturday, Spencer, 42, shared that, for the last four months, she’s been dating a man who lives in Spain — and she hopes for a memorable first Valentine’s Day with him.
“My boyfriend lives in Spain, so I already gave him the hint. I was like, ‘Is Valentine's a big day in Spain? Because it is here,' " the Extended Family star said.

While Spencer declined to name her new boyfriend, she tagged Spanish CEO Oscar Valls in a carousel of photos she posted Saturday on Instagram, which he then shared on his Story.
He also appeared in a photo that the Suits alum posted on her Story on Saturday from the TV festival with her Extended Family costars Donald Faison and Jon Cryer and the show’s creator and showrunner, Mike O’Malley.
The actress finalized her divorce from Andrew Prutt in 2013. The pair, who married in 2004, shares a 15-year-old son, Roman.
Spencer channeled her experience with divorce into Extended Family, in which she plays a woman who tries to maintain an amicable relationship with her ex-husband (Cryer) while in a new relationship with Trey, the owner of the Boston Celtics (Faison).
“It's hard, but I think the best art is personal,” Spencer said. “It feels like it's happening to you and you get to project your life onto it. I think for my son, who grew up going to two different homes, like oh, he can scold us later, ‘Why didn't you do that?’ I think all of us have said it's nice to put something on the air where it just presents doing something a little differently and just to create more conversation around it.”
Spencer said Extended Family "is not necessarily a show about divorce."
She explained, “It's a show about family. And an extended family. The family coming together, bringing Trey into the family unit and he is now part of the family.”
