The girl group member reflected on the experience in now-deleted Instagram Stories via 'Metro UK'
Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan is reflecting on a terrifying experience.
In a recent series of now-deleted Instagram Stories via Metro UK, the singer/songwriter, 40, opened up about surviving a car crash last year.
Per the publication, Buchanan shared a photo of what appeared to be the wreckage, which featured a car scattered over a road and emergency services blocking traffic.
"This time last year I blacked out at the wheel..Thank you Jesus for my life! Thankful for another year.. will speak more on the cause behind the black out another time. Just happy to be here," she captioned the image.
In a separate post on Instagram Stories, Buchanan apologized to her loved ones for keeping the horrifying incident to herself.
"Thank you for your lovely messages.. to my family & friends, sorry that you’re finding out over socials & a year later," she wrote.
Buchanan explained that she didn't want to discuss the experience with her loved ones because she didn't want them to be concerned.
"I just didn’t want anyone to worry over Christmas," she wrote.
Since forming in 1998, Buchanan has been part of the Sugababes line-up, which featured Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy.
The original group reunited in 2019 after they reclaimed the rights to their name Sugababes. Since then, they began performing together live again.
Next year, Sugababes will embark on a massive U.K. arena tour, which was announced in October.
