What is All Her Fault about?

According to Peacock, All Her Fault "opens on a plausibly terrifying situation that eventually unearths the deep secrets of a wealthy Chicago community." Snook's character Marissa arrives at 14 Arthur Avenue to pick up her young son Milo from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. However, "the woman who answers the door isn't a mother she recognizes. She isn't the nanny. She doesn't have Milo. And so begins every parent's worst nightmare."

Is All Her Fault based on a true story?

No, but if the story sounds familiar, it's because the series was adapted from Andrea Mara's 2021 novel of the same name.

The author, who is serving as an associate producer of the Peacock series, reacted Snook's casting news on Instagram, writing: "I wish I had a photo of my face when I heard this news – Sarah Snook, who played Shiv Roy in Succession, is to play Marissa in the screen adaptation of All Her Fault.(Obviously, I made a weird scrunched up cry face and screamed)."

Mara admitted that "the idea that a character I made up during one of my kid's occupational therapy appointments five years ago is being brought to life by actual @Sarah_Snook is insane."

She added, "And, bizarrely, last week I started writing my 2026 book and named the main character Siobhan, after Shiv, though I had no idea that's who was being lined up to play Marissa, so maybe this is how to manifest things 😄OK, back to screaming and scrunched up face here, and more news as I get it!"
