Subway's New Holiday Footlong Cookie Reimagines a Classic Favorite
Subway is serving up several seasonal Footlong Cookies this year, but one is top of mind for fans of holiday spice flavors.
Earlier this fall, the quick-service sandwich chain teased a new Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie, which was met with immense excitement from social media users who "couldn't wait" to try it. Now that it's been made available at participating locations nationwide, it's only fitting fans find out another version of the treat has been released–but only in Canada.

According to the Subway Canada website, for a limited time, participating locations have added a Footlong Gingerbread Cookie to menus. Stores across the border are also serving up traditional bakery-style Red Velvet cookies.
Food blogger known online as Snackbetch was among the first to bring the ultra-exclusive extra-long cookie flavor to the attention of U.S. fans, writing in a Nov. 25 Instagram post that the Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong and Gingerbread Footlong Cookies are both available now. The influencer also speculated that a third Footlong flavor is rumored to drop sometime in 2025, the Oreo Footlong Cookie.
But fans were too focused on the one flavor they may never get to try, unless they happen to be in Canada between now and early next year.
"Canada has the best one :(," one Instagram user lamented before another joked, "Of course the Gingerbread one [is only in Canada]."
"Gingerbread sounds solid 😮😮," someone else admitted.
"Fingers [crossed] they will all be released ✔️," another more hopeful comment cheered.
Still, maybe the grass is always greener on the other side, as some of those located in Canada didn't seem all too thrilled over the spice cookie. "Of course Canada gets the gingerbread one 🤮🤢," one wrote before later adding, "I’m in Canada. And I hate gingerbread. The US always get everything good 😂."
