Studio 10 star's awkward dress double-up: 'Stole my look'

Live TV comes with its own set of potential mishaps but none so disastrous as the dreaded wardrobe double-up.

We saw the ugly side with 2017's infamous '#jacketgate' showdown between two Channel Nine colleagues, reporter Julie Snook and newsreader Amber Sherlock.

Dress double-up

The pair unintentionally wore white tops on the same day, prompting a visibly annoyed Amber to demand Julie 'put a jacket on' when the cameras weren't rolling — except they were.

Studio 10 star Angela Bishop found herself staring down the barrel of this exact scenario on Friday morning when comedian and author Julia Morris appeared on the show.

As Julia chatted to hosts Sarah Harris and Beau Ryan, who was standing in for Tristan MacManus, about her new self-help book via video link, Ange noticed something while waiting just off set.

Both women were sporting the exact same pink and purple floral dress by Aussie designer Scanlan & Theodore.

'Who wore it breast'

Ever the professional, Ange decided to diffuse the situation with humour by pretending to march onto set and call Julia out for the fashion faux pas.

"Can I just interrupt?" she asked, her brow furrowed, causing the I'm A Celebrity host to look momentarily concerned.

"Can I get a piece of advice, Julia: What happens when you turn up on national television wearing the same frock as someone else?" she deadpanned to laughter from Sarah, Beau and Julia.

"What I wanna know Ange is who wore it breast?" Julia responded before standing up and putting her chest front and centre to the camera.

"You took the words right out of my mouth," Beau quipped before Julia jumped in to praise her 'twin.'

"You look gorgeous," she said, showing off her choice of footwear: a pair of sneakers.

Ange revealed she'd paired the floaty frock with classic black Christian Louboutins.

She later took to Twitter to share a clip of the moment which she captioned in mock outrage, "Bish stole my look".

Twins

Over on Instagram, there didn't seem to be any hard feelings between the two TV personalities, with Julia heaping more compliments on the long-time entertainment editor.

"I don’t want to use the word stalker but I love @angelabishop10 so deeply that it is my life quest to do everything Ang does... #goddess #guru jx," she commented on a side-by-side snap of the pair.

Studio 10 viewers were similarly enamoured with the matching moment, with one fan declaring them, "Twins separated at birth".

"You both look gorgeous," added another.

"I love it! I want one so we can be triplets," wrote a third.
