Strictly's Dan Walker shares health update following crash
Strictly Come Dancing 2021 contestant Dan Walker has shared a health update after being hit by a car whilst out on his bike earlier this year.
The former BBC Breakfast presenter, who now works for Channel 5, was asked if he has fully recovered from the February accident during a recent Instagram Q&A with his followers.
In his response, Walker shared that he still has some "strange nerve damage" down the right sight of his body from when he hit the ground, and is getting this checked out at the moment.

He continued: "If I sit down for 10 mins, my leg tingles and my foot goes dead. In the process of having it looked at."
Following the crash earlier this year, Walker took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself in the back of an ambulance with a swollen and bloody face.
"Bit of an accident this morning," he captioned the post. "Glad to be alive after getting hit by a car on my bike. Face is a mess but I don't think anything is broken."

Updating fans again on Twitter/X later that day, Walker wrote: "Just got home from hospital. Battered and bruised but – amazingly – nothing broken.
"Very thankful to still be here. I have no memory of anything and just remember coming round on the tarmac with paramedics & police around me.
"The helmet I was wearing saved my life today so – if you're on a bike – get one on your head. Smashed my watch & phone, ruined my trousers, my bike is a mess but I'm still here."
Strictly Come Dancing returns for its launch special on September 16 on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
