The dancer was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and has been emotionally documenting her journey since as she undergoes chemotherapy.
On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Amy has taken part in a video for Wales-based charity Tenovus Cancer Care, where she urged people to raise awareness and check their breasts.
"Hello everyone, it's Amy here from Strictly Come Dancing," she began. "Now October, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, something very close to my heart as I am currently receiving chemotherapy for my breast cancer.
"And I want to ask you guys a favour. Please help raise awareness. There are too many of us suffering with this. But also we need to get more people checking their chests. Let's make it a regular thing. It just needs to be once a month, get to know your own chests.
"Please, please, please, let's speak about it, let's raise awareness – social posts, talk to your friends and family galore. Please, please, please, let's bring the community together, let's do all we possibly can for Breast Cancer Awareness Month," Amy added.
"I'm sending all my Welsh love always. Please keep checking!"
The clip comes after Amy – who is sitting out this year's series of Strictly due to her treatment – shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from this weekend's edition of of the BBC series as she visited the show's set.
"It's moments like this I need right now, escaping me from my now at the moment reality and I'm so thankful to the entire @bbcstrictly [team] for this," she said. "Hoping to [be] back with the gang real soon.
"There's no text book or right/wrong way to deal with your cancer journey. Everyone deals with it rightly their way. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by so much support which I don’t take for granted and days like here is what keeps me going.
"I'm dreaming every night of dancing on that floor again but right now I'm my fellow pro's proudest and biggest cheerleader."
Last month, the dancer shared an emotional clip of her shaving off her hair, saying she was "taking control".
