Yahoo Lifestyle Streaming ‘Laid’ on Peacock Is Thankfully No Mystery

New romantic comedy series alert! And there's... murder?? Laid, on Peacock, promises to fulfill your mystery and LMAO needs simultaneously in these cold winter months. The show stars the hilarious Stephanie Hsu (Everything, Everywhere, All At Once) and Zosia Mamet (Girls) as well as Michael Angarano (Sky High) and the showrunner is Nahnatchka Khan–who created Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 and directed Always Be My Maybe, so the pedigree is there.
Laid is based on an Australian series, also called Laid, which aired down under in 2011 and 2012. It is about a woman whose exes keep dying in strange ways—like an evil, real-life version of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, so she tries to solve the mystery. She also has to, like, warn the rest of them before something happens to them too! Reconnecting with your ex is always potentially risky, but these circumstances could not be less ideal. (But we get to watch it play out from a safe distance, so it's funny!)
When does Laid premiere?
The entire first season premiered on Peacock on December 19, 2024. The first episode is available for free to everyone with an account. The remaining seven episodes are available to anyone who pays to subscribe at at least the lowest level. That's how they get you! But at least you can watch the first episode without subscribing to see if you really like it.
When does the next episode of Laid drop?
Guess what? There is no next episode. This one is a binge. The entire first season is available to watch on Peacock. The next episode is already there, unless of course you've finished the first season's eight episodes.
