Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell told BBC Scotland: "We find ourselves facing a tough second half, in a tough spot. The thing that annoyed me in the first half was the goals really impacted the body language and confidence of our players. We looked shy, we didn't want to receive the ball, our energy was low.

"It comes from two corner kicks, that's where we conceded two goals. When we got our first goal, you can see the chances we can create. It's a vicious circle, we have to start games better - that's our Achilles heel at the moment.

"Even at 0-0, we were relatively in control. Sometimes it's between the ears, the decisions you make in big moments.

"It's an unbelievable chance to win a game when you're 2-0 down. He has to get his head up and square it, Theo Bair has a tap in. I'd have bitten your hand off for that chance at half-time.

"I'm disappointed at some of what I've seen tonight but they've managed to dig themselves out of a massive hole. We showed good quality and character to get ourselves back into it.

"It's important that we're not finding ourselves a few goals behind. That luck will run out. We're battered and bruised, we've taken a lot of knocks in the last few days. We've got a big injury list, some significant ones too but I can assure you the players are giving everything for this football club."
