Spice Girls celebrate 30 years of the girl group with throwback audition montage
"What started back in 1994 has turned into an amazing journey, way beyond anything we could have ever imagined," the Girls wrote on social media.
The Spice Girls are proving friendship really never ends.
Monday marked the 30th anniversary of the first auditions for the iconic girl group, and to celebrate the major milestone, the members — Ginger (Geri Halliwell), Posh (Victoria Beckham), Scary (Mel B), Sporty (Melanie C), and Baby (Emma Bunton) — shared old audition footage from back in the day on social media.
"Today marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Spice Girls auditions," the group's official Twitter account wrote alongside the clip. "What started back in 1994 has turned into an amazing journey, way beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Thank you to our fans for your support from day one. #FriendshipNeverEnds"

The montage — which is set to the Spice Girls' 1996 megahit "Wannabe" — features the girls, appropriately clad in head-to-toe '90s garb, dancing, singing, and laughing together as they rehearse to become one of the hottest groups of the time.
The big anniversary could mean more than just throwbacks for the Spice Girls though. During a January appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, Mel B teased "some really good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us."
Though she admitted wrangling five different schedules is difficult, she confirmed fans would be "100 percent satisfied" by this unknown news. "And it’s going to be the gift that keeps on giving, without saying too much about it," she said, adding, "I’m going to get myself into so much trouble.”
