Spice Girls Celebrate 30 Years of the Girl Group with Audition Tape: 'Friendship Never Ends'

The iconic pop group also thanked fans for their support throughout the years

The Spice Girls show off the "Power of Five" three decades later! 

The celebrations follow the 30th anniversary of the women first auditioning for the girl group.

In a new post from the group’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account, all five girls — Emma Bunton, Victoria (née Adams) Beckham, Geri Halliwell Horner, Mel Brown and Mel Chisholm — are seen dancing, singing and rehearsing with one another.

In a series of short clips from archival footage, the girls are seen in casual ‘90 outfits as they play around and laugh with one another. One sweet clip shows all five girls crammed together in a doorway, with Geri, 51,  and Victoria, 49, on the ground, while Emma, 48, Mel B, 48, and Mel C, 50, stand above them singing for the camera.

While various clips show the girls separately rehearsing, one clip shows the entire girl group on a makeshift stage dancing and singing in unison — with Victoria (a.k.a. Posh Spice) in the center, in between Mel B  (a.k.a. Scary Spice), Geri (a.k.a. Ginger Spice), Emma (a.k.a. Baby Spice), and Mel C (a.k.a. Sporty Spice).

“Today marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Spice Girls auditions! 🎉 What started back in 1994 has turned into an amazing journey, way beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Thank you to our fans for your support from day one 💖 #FriendshipNeverEnds,” read the X post.

More recently in Janurary, Mel B shared on Today with Hoda & Jenna that fans could expect some good news coming soon.

"Well, I've been saying this forever, but now we're actually going to be releasing some really good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us," Mel B said. The "Wannabe" musician said that fans would be "100 percent satisfied" by the news.

While she teased the possibility of a reunion, she confessed that the logistics of getting the band back has been tricky, because "there's five of us and we've got five different diaries, and we're all parents."

"It's going to be the gift that keeps on giving, without saying too much about it," Mel B said. "I'm going to get myself into so much trouble."
