Sour Patch Kids Fans Celebrate ‘Crazy Good’ New Offering: 'Finally'

Candy fans who enjoy Sour Patch Kids can’t wait to get their hands on a tasty new product that is expected to be out in stores soon.

Food blogger Markie Devo teased the new treat in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 3. According to his preview, the Mondelez International brand is gearing up for a nationwide release of its new Fruits Mix. The 7.35-ounce packages will contain “not so sour” flavored candies in watermelon, grape, strawberry and peach. The fruity new candy pack is already arriving on store shelves in some areas and is expected to be available nationwide by the end of January 2025.

In addition to the individual packets, the new Sour Patch Kids Fruits Mix is also slated to be available for purchase on Amazon in a larger, shareable size starting on Dec. 30, according to the promotional image featured in Devo’s post.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to the new release in the post’s comment section, with one writing, “oh my goodness yesssss,” while another shared that they felt “so excited.”

“Omg finally😍!!” one person commented.

“Looks crazy good!😍,” a fan declared as another praised the candy brand, writing, “Heck yeah good idea 💯.”

Though many people agreed that they “need 😍” the new treat, others took issue with some of the flavors they felt were missing from the forthcoming candy packs. “But what happened to the cherry,” one person wrote as another echoed, “Sad about no 🍒🍒🍒🍒.”

“Should've thrown the apple in there too,” another person suggested.

Despite the overall excitement about the new release, some Sour Patch Kids fans also questioned the decision to advertise the new product as being “not so sour.”

“Not sure why we're working so hard to make Sour Patch Kids less sour,” one Instagram user commented.

“Stopping making them less sour, @sourpatchkids :(,” a fan urged as another wrote, “make sour patch sour again.”
