Sophia Culpo Posts Cryptic TikTok Comparing Ex-Boyfriend Braxton Berrios to Zach Bryan
Sophia Culpo and Braxton Berrios dated for two years before breaking up in March 2023
Sophia Culpo has fans talking.
The social media personality, 28, recently posted a TikTok that appears to be a subtle jab at her ex Braxton Berrios, who she dated for two years before calling it quits in March 2023. The Miami Dolphins player is now dating Alix Earle.
In the clip, which was uploaded on Dec. 14, Culpo uses the "stitch" effect to piece together a snippet from another TikTok user who compared the influencer's past romance with the NFL star to Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia and Zach Bryan's relationship.
"If you guys remember, Braxton was technically Sophia Culpo's Zach Bryan," said the TikTok user, who narrated over a green screen image of LaPaglia's appearance on Alix Earle's Hot Mess podcast episode which was released on Dec. 12.
The clip then cuts to a full-length shot of Culpo standing in her kitchen while holding a glass of wine. She then lifts up her shades, puts them on her head and leans into the camera to stare and smirk before clinking her drink to the camera with a wink-wink smile.
"with @ ironic to iconic🥂," she captioned the TikTok. Culpo nor the TikTok user narrating the clip didn't explicitly explain the reason for comparing Berrios to Bryan.
Reps for Culpo, Earle and Berrios did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
On Oct. 22, Bryan publicly announced that he and LaPaglia split after about one year of dating. The Plan Bri UnCut podcaster said she was "completely blindsided" by his decision to post the news of their separation.
LaPaglia then appeared on the BFF Podcast for her first tell-all interview since the breakup on Nov. 7. During the episode, she accused Bryan of emotional abuse while they were together — among other claims of a "toxic" relationship in the weeks that followed.

When LaPaglia appeared on Earle's Hot Mess podcast, she also claimed that Bryan cheated on her throughout their relationship. "I didn't know he was cheating on me the whole time," she said, to which Earle interrupted to ask about that part of the story.
"I kind of brushed over that because the cheating was the most normal part for me," LaPaglia said, before revealing the "Raya thing" was how she found out about the alleged cheating. "I was like, 'Okay, this is crazy.'"
She added, "Then I had all these girls DMing me. Then I have receipts and receipts of people telling me."
Reps for Bryan did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Culpo, too, has been the center of relationship drama since her breakup with Berrios in March 2023. After Berrios and Earle were spotted hanging out, the Hot Mess host was accused of being the reason behind their breakup.
In September 2023, Earle attempted to clear the air during an episode of Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy when she was asked about the rumors that circulated after they went public with their relationship.
"This past summer, you were getting scrutinized on the internet. People were calling you a mistress, some people were calling you a homewrecker, in regards to the NFL player you were hooking up with,” Cooper said. “Can you confirm: Were you hooking up with him when he was in a relationship?"

Earle replied, “It is so triggering to even hear you say that,” before clarifying, “No. They were not together." Cooper then asked the University of Miami grad to elaborate on why the rumors began in the first place.
"I guess the ex-girlfriend had started posting things alluding to unfaithfulness in the relationship online and I was seen hanging out with this guy so everyone just kinda pointed fingers at me,” she said.
Earle also admitted that she was immediately skeptical and confronted Berrios about it. Since then, she and her boyfriend “have been over this probably 110 times,” she said, “because I was like, if you did that to a person, obviously, of course, you’ll probably do that to me too, and if I did that to someone else, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself."
Culpo, meanwhile, has entered a new relationship herself. She announced her romance with Michael Stevens in 2023.
"You just make everything better,” Culpo wrote in the caption of an Instagram Reel in honor of Stevens’ birthday in November 2023. “Kind, thoughtful, FUNNY, and so very sweet."
