Sonia Kruger leads Today show dance on her 54th birthday

Sonia Kruger showed off her incredible figure and dance moves in a Today show segment introducing her newest project.

The TV host, who celebrated her 54th birthday on Wednesday, took David Campbell, Deborah Knight, and Steven Jacobs through some Cha Cha moves.

Sonia also shared some backstage snaps to Instagram, where fans heaped praise on The Voice Australia host.

“Looking mean lean guys,” one person commented.

“Absolutely killing it and how amazing does Sonia look woww,” another wrote

The Today Extra host was promoting her new dance based fitness program Strictly You. She’s been dancing professionally since she was four and credits it for helping maintain her fitness.

“Get fit, have fun, and be your best and most fabulous self,” she wrote, sharing the news on her Instagram.

After dancing for viewers, Sonia took up her regular duties for Today Extra, but was surprised by her colleagues with a giant pink birthday cake and a montage of on air highlights.

In a piece for 9Honey, she admitted she normally tries to organise annual leave on her birthday because she doesn’t want people making a fuss.

“I'll do anything I can to avoid a group of people singing 'Happy Birthday' to me,” she wrote.

“Perhaps it's because I don't want to be reminded of my actual age... my actual age being 28 years and 312 months.”
