Son Dies Days After Halloween Crash Killed “Avengers” Stuntman Father, 2 Sisters
Kisasi Ramsess, 10, died on Saturday in an Atlanta-area hospital, days after the crash killed his father and two sisters, according to reports
A 10-year-old boy has died after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Georgia last week killed his stuntman father and his two sisters, according to reports.
Taraja Ramsess’ 10-year-old son, Kisasi, died at an Atlanta-area hospital on Saturday, according to The Los Angeles Times, Fox affiliate WAGA-TV and The Daily Beast.
Taraja, 41, and Kisasi’s two sisters, 13-year-old Sundari and 8-week-old Fugibo, all died in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Halloween night along Interstate 20 in DeKalb County, per ABC affiliate WSB-TV.
First responders arrived on the scene shortly before midnight last Tuesday and found Ramsess’ Ford F-150 pickup had crashed into a disabled 18-wheeler on the exit ramp from I-285 onto I-20 eastbound, the DeKalb County Police Department told PEOPLE in a statement.

Two other children were also in the truck, including a 3-year-old named Shazia, who is recovering with minor injuries, her grandmother — Taraja’s mother, Akili Ramsess — wrote in an Instagram post last week.
Now, friends and family members are mourning the tragic loss of the children and their father, a successful stuntman who had appeared in movies, including Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.
“All who knew and met him know how special Taraja was,” Akili wrote in her post. “He had a deep capacity for love and loved his children more than all. He loved his martial arts, motorcycles and all things related to filmmaking. He had a very droll yet wicked sense of humor & yet could be as cornball corny as can be.”
She continued, “Sundari, Sunny as she was called, also reflected that special light. Funny & loved to dance. Oh God! I can't believe they're gone! We are grieving and remain prayerful for my grandchildren's recovery. Thank you to so many who have already reached out with kind words and prayers.”
Director Ava DuVernay also posted a tribute on Instagram to Taraja, who she said had been part of her family at her production company, ARRAY.

“Taraja. Regal. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of him,” DuVernay wrote alongside a carousel of images and a video of the father of six. “He walked like a king. And to me, always acted like one.”
She continued in part, “We’d talk about art and his family. My goodness, did he love his children. A happy, whole love. Beautiful to behold. He loved making movies and TV too."
DuVernay added that Taraja will be missed as “a leader” and “a light.”
“Taraja. His name is like music. We will continue to sing it," she wrote. "Bless his soul. Bless his memory. Bless his loved ones and the many comrades he leaves here as he journeys on.”
