AJ Mitchell on his debut studio album 'Skyview' and growing up in small town US

American singer-songwriter AJ Mitchell joins Danny Clayton in the BUILD Sydney studio to chat about his upcoming debut album 'Skyview'.

He opens up about the stories behind it, and growing up fast in LA.

“When I first came out to Los Angeles I ended up joining this group of social media influencers and that’s kind of how I got my start in social media but I didn’t want to take that route of becoming an influencer,” he said.

The musician has also copped a few Justin Timberlake comparisons, and sheds some light on his Aussie adventures as well as his 'oh yeah!' warm-up routine.

“First day I got here I went to the zoo, met some kangaroos, some Koala bears,” he said.
