Travellers’ Choice awards reveal best airline in the world

Millions of travellers have named Singapore Airlines as their favourite airline in the world.

TripAdvisor revealed the winners of its Travellers’ Choice awards for Airlines in April, and while Qantas came out number one airline in Australia, it was Singapore Airlines that took out the top spot for best carrier in the world for the second consecutive year.

Qatar Airlines came in second for best carrier in the world, while also taking out the prize for best Business Class.

Taiwanese international airline EVA Air came third, according to Tripadvisor travel ratings, with Emirates coming in fourth.

Qantas didn’t make the top ten globally, while Air New Zealand was named best airline in the South Pacific.

Breaking it down into each cabin, Singapore Airlines also took out the prize for having the best Economy Class.

Best First Class went to Emirates, and best Premium Economy was awarded to Air New Zealand.

Now in the third year of Travellers’ Choice awards for Airlines, the prestigious 2019 award categories honour 57 airlines in 91 total awards that provide exceptional value and service across the world.
