Shoppers suffer fashion fail from dress that 'just fits one thigh'

In this day and age, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t at least dabbled in a bit of online shopping.

But unlike buying something from a brick and mortar shop, there’s always that element of risk when expecting your online order, particularly when shopping for clothes. You could end up with a fabulous addition to your wardrobe, or it could be a total fail.

Unfortunately, some shoppers recently suffered the latter, after ordering a simple black dress from online store Pretty Little Thing.

Sharing some photos of the ‘Black Strappy Mesh Ruched Midaxi Dress’ on Twitter, one woman, who ordered the dress in a size 8, revealed it “just about fits one thigh”.

Another Twitter user questioned if the online retailer was playing a prank on her.

Comparing photographs of the model wearing the dress on the website and what she received in the post, there definitely seems to be a difference.

“Is this some sort of joke? It doesn’t even stretch,” she said, adding that the dress appeared to be “about a size -2”.

According to the website the model is apparently wearing a size 6, but if these comparisons are anything to go by then, er, maybe not.
