Yahoo Lifestyle Sheer Looks Are Trending on 2024 CMA Awards Red Carpet
Country music celebrities embraced this year’s sheer trend as they arrived for the 2024 CMA Awards red carpet in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday.
There were sheer bodices, sheer ruffles, sheer lace dresses and sheer pantsuits. Some see-through looks teased just a peek of skin, and others playfully dared onlookers not to stare. Many like Ella Langley, Ania Hammar and Macie Banks chose bold colors like black and red, but Dasha embraced the sheer look in a shimmery mermaid-like lavender.

Colbie Caillat
Colbie Caillat wore a black floor-length gown with a sheer silver metallic overlay. The sleeve on the right side and high slit on the left gave it a unique asymmetrical look. She accessorized with statement black dangling earrings and pointed-toe heels. Her hair flowed in waves over her shoulder.
April Lockhart
April Lockhart wore a whimsical, black-and-white, one-shouldered dress to the red carpet. The black sheer bodice and the delicate white long skirt were covered with black and white floral embroidery and embellishments, including white petals on the right shoulder. She accessorized with large pearl dangling earrings, white shimmery bracelets and rings.
Ella Langley
Elly Langley wore a dramatic black ruffled cape, over a black high-collared, long-sleeved, floor-length sheer lace dress. The lace featured circular, lotus flower embroidery and the skirt flowed out with black ruffles. Her jewelry was minimal.
Dasha
Dasha wore a shimmery, translucent lavender sleeveless gown with a plunging neckline and strategic diamond cutouts on the front. She accessorized with shimmery string earrings, a matching asymmetrical necklace, silver bracelet, rings and strappy silver heels.
Ania Hammar
Ania Hammar wore a scarlet red strapless dress with a mermaid silouhette. The corseted bodice had ruffle designs down to the mid-thigh, before it transitioned to sheer ruffles that flowed to the ground. She accessorized the look with a chunky diamond statement necklace, shimmery bracelets and matching rings.
Macie Banks
Macie Banks wore a glittery black lace pantsuit over a black tube top and black shorts. The high-collared, short-sleeved jacket and bellbottom pants were made of sheer lace and matching black floral embroidery, which gave a glimpse of her strappy silver stilettos. She wore minimal accessories, just simple rings and red nails.
The 57th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning and Lainey Wilson, celebrates country music stars’ achievements in the genre. Morgan Wallen is nominated for seven awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Performers for the evening include Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton and Post Malone, among others.
