Sharon Osbourne Recalls Ozzy Having Robin Williams Visit Her and Tell 'Jokes' While She Had Cancer: 'Amazing Man'

"I felt bad about leaving her just in the house, so I asked Robin Williams if he'd come and see her," said the Black Sabbath rocker

When Sharon Osbourne was struggling with cancer, her spirits were raised by an unexpected visitor: the late Robin Williams.

During the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon and husband Ozzy recalled how Robin Williams cheered her up for a few hours one day following her 2002 cancer diagnosis.

"When Sharon was sick with cancer, I felt bad about leaving her just in the house, so I asked Robin Williams if he'd come and see her," said the Black Sabbath rocker, 75. "Sharon loved him."

Sharon, 71, looked back on the meeting with immense appreciation. "I absolutely was so in awe of his talent and his kindness," she said.

"He came in and got into bed with me and told jokes for a couple of hours. It wasn't just like he popped his head around the door [and said] 'Hi, how are you doing?' and left. It was a good two hours with me, and he was amazing," she said of Williams, who died by suicide at age 63 in 2014.

"Made me feel so good," added Sharon. "Amazing man."

In 2002, Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002, and she's now in remission. A decade later, she underwent a double mastectomy after a genome test revealed she had a “whole shopping list” of health problems, including “the breast cancer gene," she revealed on The Talk at the time.

Elsewhere on this week's episode of The Osbournes, Ozzy opened up about another one of his most memorable celebrity meetings. "I’m a big Beatle fan and when I first met Paul McCartney, it was like meeting Jesus Christ," he said.

"He was a very nice man, and when I got a Grammy, he followed up with my producer to congratulate me," added Ozzy. "That was very, very special."

During Sharon's Cut the Crap Tour stop in London on Sunday, she revealed the "Crazy Train" singer is planning two final concerts in his Birmingham, England, hometown as a send-off to fans following his recent health issues.

"He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like, ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly,'" she said at the event.

She specified that the shows will be held in the city's Aston Villa neighborhood "where Ozzy is from," per the outlet. "His voice is still absolutely perfect," added Sharon, noting that he's continued taking "singing lessons" throughout his health-induced time away from the stage.

At this time, Ozzy has not confirmed nor announced any upcoming performances.
