You can't sea him.

Shark Week has arrived once again.

Discovery's wettest week of the year is now underway, and the network has over 20 hours of new shark-based entertainment to share with the world. Over the next seven days, viewers will be served a monstrous helping of Great Whites, hammerheads, and many more cartilaginous carnivores. Some of this week’s titles include Belly of the Beast, Great White Serial Killer: Sea of Blood, and Monster Hammerheads: Species X.

After previously employing the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Jason Momoa, and Eli Roth as hosts, Shark Week will be hosted by John Cena in 2024. The wrestler is no stranger to TV hosting — he’s previously done it for shows like Wipeout, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, the ESPY Awards, and American Grit.

"I usually do Shark Week from my couch — with lots of snacks, but this year I'm beyond excited to host the week dedicated to the endlessly fascinating action heroes of the ocean,” Cena said in a release. "It's a wild week of shocking new footage, new discoveries, and lots and lots of teeth."
