She parted ways with her ex-cricketer husband, Shane Warne, eight years ago and now Simone Callahan has spoken out about his love affair with British actress, Elizabeth Hurley.
Speaking to The Sun, Simone slammed both Shane and Liz and called them ‘selfish’ for how they acted in 2010, when the pair were caught kissing in London.
“Shane is a little kid, like Peter Pan, and he doesn’t think about how his actions will impact other people,” Simone said in the interview.
“You would think that a mother like Liz Hurley would be more mature and respectful of my kids, but she wasn’t.
“I don’t believe in hatred and bitterness but I do believe karma will make things right in the end.”
Simone went on to claim that Shane and Liz’s relationship caused a lot of embarrassment for their three children, Brooke, 21, Jackson, 19 and Summer, 16.
“I guess they were just caught up in themselves and the fun they were having without thinking about anyone else,” she went on to say.
The mum-of-three married Shane in 1995 after meeting at an event in Melbourne in 1992. They split in 2005 but rekindled their relationship in 2009.
However, they decided to call it quits in 2010 and just days later, Simone woke up one day to pictures of Shane and Liz kissing all over the internet.
Simone explained exactly how she felt when Shane and Liz turned up to watch their son’s football match in 2012.
She claimed Liz didn’t apologise for her or Shane’s actions and she was forced to make small talk with the actress to get through the awkward encounter.
Simone’s interview came after it was revealed that in Shane’s tell-all biography, No Spin, he claimed his years spent with Liz were the ‘happiest years of my life’.
“I was more in love with Elizabeth than I’d realised I could be,” Shane wrote in the book, according to news.com.au.
Liz and Shane dated for three years, after first meeting in 2010 at the Goodwood Races in England.
At the time, Shane and Simone were trying to save their marriage after rekindling their relationship the year before and Liz was estranged from her ex-husband, Arun Nayar.
Shane and Liz got engaged in 2011 but split in 2013, with Shane claiming there was ‘no single, clear reason why our relationship ended’.
