The secret message in Princess Eugenie's outfit

She’s about to get married, and Princess Eugenie has just one thing on her mind; L-O-V-E.

The 28-year-old, who will be tying the knot at St George’s Chapel in October, attended her grandmother the Queen’s garden party on Thursday and made quite a statement with her outfit choice.

Dressed in a navy cocktail frock with an asymmetrical hem, Eugenie finished her look with pointed-toe heels and a hat topped with the word ‘love’.

Taking to Instagram, her mum Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson, said she’s, “so proud of my daughter”.

New dad Prince William was also in attendance and looked very smart, even without his wife Kate by his side.

As is the dress code, he wore a full morning dress, which – along with a lounge suit – is what all male guests are expected to wear. Women on the other hand, are required to wear a day dress with a hat or fascinator.

The event was one of four garden parties the Queen hosts every summer, and this year she expects to welcome a total of 30K people who have been recognised for having a positive impact in their community.

Guests are served tea alongside 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake.

While Eugenie, Wills and the Queen were meeting and greeting at Buckingham Palace, Princess Beatrice has recently been spotted in Sydney.

The royal jetted into the country unnoticed until she attended a lunch and took part in a tour of St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst.

“She was there to visit the emergency department and she has a particular interest in our mental health crisis,” a hospital staff member told Be.

“She was more curious to see how we ran things, so we did most of the talking while she thanked us, saying what an amazing service we are providing.”
