Warning: This post contains spoilers for Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has only just been released and already it's proving to be one of Hulu's most scandalous shows of 2024.

The show follows eight women — Jennifer Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Taylor Frankie Paul and Layla Taylor — who are living in and adjacent to the Mormon community in Utah. These aren't just regular moms — they're cool moms with millions of followers, combined, making money and having fun on TikTok.

If you're diving into the Hulu series, here are the biggest bombshell moments to expect from the ladies of MomTok.

The aftermath of the soft-swinging scandal

The show picks up after Taylor and the women spend a few months apart. The MomTok soft-swinging scandal rocked their community, with all the women under speculation after Taylor spoke her relationship truth. While the other women weren't too happy with her, she explains she couldn't let the entire situation be pinned on her specifically.

"I at least wanted to explain that to people. My husband wanted to share," she levels. "He did want to open that up. So it's like, I caught feelings for a man that my husband welcomed into our house."

Whitney admits Conner was really on Tinder

While Whitney's time living in Hawaii was originally attributed to speculation around her and husband Conner Leavitt's involvement in the soft-swinging scandal, she reveals there were bigger fish to fry in her marriage.

"I lied about it because I was embarrassed," Whitney admits to her friends. "I didn’t even know it was true until I confronted Conner. I went to him, like, ‘Look at this joke.’ There was more to that. He had been struggling with a porn addiction and I didn’t want to say anything. I didn’t want to come out because I just feel like there’s a whole story. There’s a reason why people do certain things and I think he was just confused."

Taylor is arrested

Taylor claimed that she was on a new path, but it wasn't until after she was arrested as the result of a domestic violence call that she truly worked on turning over a new leaf. She was charged with aggravated assault and was subsequently sentenced to three years of probation,

“After the arrest, I was under so much stress. I was filmed leaving the jail and then that was immediately on the Internet," she says. "It was a blessing in disguise. It helped me wake up."

Whitney debates a sex toy deal

Whitney consults her friends, and later her mom and sister, about a sex toy company offering her $20,000 to promote a vibrator in an Instagram post.

She explains the incentive and her desire to be "empowering," but her mom isn't buying it. Her sister questions whether it "matches your platform," noting she generally posts family content.

“I think it's a personal thing between you and your partner," Whitney's mom says. When Whitney asks about single women's needs, her mom counters, "I think when you’re seeking pleasure it can just get out of hand."

Whitney addresses how she was criticized for her hospital video

Whitney has a heart-to-heart with Taylor about their differences, expressing frustration that Taylor was forgiven more quickly for her scandal than Whitney was for a TikTok she made in the hospital while her son was sick with RSV.

Costar Demi offers a different perspective, leveling that Whitney told her that her intentions were "to get likes and clout" amid a ketamine therapy session the two did together.

“Coming out of ketamine, you are feeling things very deeply. Truths are coming out about yourself that maybe you wouldn’t otherwise admit," Demi shares. "And in that moment, she admitted to me that video that she posted was for sympathy, likes, clout, recognition and to gain her following.”

Jessi confronts Whitney about her drama with everyone

Jessi and Whitney take a minute to talk at Layla's divorce party, but the conversation gets heated when Jessi lays down some hard truths that Whitney doesn't accept.

"Maybe it's not coming from a vicious place, but it sometimes feels like, 'Oh, I'll play with this toy til I get bored and I have a new one.' You’re having issues with everyone in the group, so for me its like where there’s smoke, there's fire," Jessi says.

Whitney denies that's true, but Jessi starts going down the list. "People think you're just very quick to tell what people are saying, so it makes it hard to trust you," she explains.

Whitney leaves the group chat

Whitney causes a stir leaving the group chat, but when everyone doesn't reach out directly, she feels even more slighted.

Mayci says things can be "transactional" between the women at times, but tells Whitney she believes people are genuine in their pursuit of connection as well.

"I don’t think we’re friends. Everyone’s competitive against each other, gets easily jealous of each other, rude to each other. That’s not what real friends do to each other," Whitney says.

The ladies make a surprise visit to Chippendales

While partying together in Las Vegas, Jessi arranges a surprise trip to Chippendales for the ladies — complete with a meet-and-greet with the performers. It sounds like the best night ever to some of the crew, though others know their partners will not approve.

Jessi defends her plans for the night in a confessional, saying it's “fun and innocent” and adds, “If any husband have weird reactions, then I feel like there’s something missing in that relationship, because I know my husband isn't gonna care."

Meanwhile, Jennifer gets teary as she and Zac fight on the phone. She tells Taylor, “He said he doesn’t want to be married to me if I do stuff like this.”

Mayci's 'Sinner Sunday' DM

Mayci found herself with some information about Taylor's boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. After learning of a woman who says she's been involved with Dakota, Mayci is unsure of if and when to tell her friend about the situation.

"It says, 'I accidentally slept with Dakota before I knew him and Taylor were together. I only met Taylor once and I'm terrified to tell her but I know she has a right to know... HELP.'"

Mayci explains that situation to Demi and Mikayla, admitting she doesn't know what to do with the information she received in the anonymous entry. The three all agree that Taylor should know but question whether she should find out before or after having her baby.

Whitney leaves MomTok

It's no secret that Whitney had a really hard time connecting to and relating to the other women as the season progressed. As an OG member of MomTok, there were some who were rooting for her while others think her differences aren't ones they'd be able to move past.

“I think MomTok is better off without Whitney. She gets a lot of views and attention, but I don’t think we need her," Mikayla says of Whitney's absence. "It’s kind of like ‘Out of sight, out of mind.’ She wants everyone to kind of chase her and be like ‘No Whitney we love you, come back.’ I’m just exhausted at this point."

Meanwhile, Whitney had some "parting words" for her fellow MomTokers, concluding with, "Good luck without me.”
