The New Seasonal Jack in the Box Treat That Fans Are Calling 'Amazing'
Jack in the Box is taking the beloved, classic Oreo cookies and cream milkshake up a notch with the addition of an unsuspecting–but wildly respected–flavor and magical hue.
The fast food chain is getting into the spooky season spirit with a series of limited-edition, spellbinding menu updates–one of which has already put foodies in a trance, and technically, it hasn't officially been released yet.
In just a few days, Jack in the Box customers will finally be able to sip on a highly-awaited new potion: its purple Witch Please Shake.
According to a statement the brand shared with Parade, the new milkshake is made with an Oreo shake that's been blended with sweet ube flavors and topped with Oreo cookie pieces and whipped cream. Pricing is said to start at $5.49 but may vary by location.
Popular food blogger Snackolator surveyed social media users' opinions of the new frozen treat in a post shared via Instagram on Thursday, and it seems to have conjured up a positive response.
"Mmmmmmm ube desserts are goated 🔥," one fan wrote in approval of the Sept. 12 upload.
"It’s available early if you order on the app," a second claimed. "Tried it two days ago and it’s delicious 🤤."
"My sister and I are Filipino and Ube is one of those flavors we love and feel like is the staple treat flavors, and she tried it and it’s amazing!" another added.
"I'm so glad Ube is trending," a fourth wrote, adding that they hope the flavor becomes more widely available at other restaurant chains in the U.S.
"Now I need to track down a Jack in the Box," a different Instagram user joked.
"My local Jack in the Box doesn’t have it on the app yet. Looks like I’m gonna have to wait 🤷🏽♂️," someone else lamented.
Along with the new shake, Jack in the Box's lineup of Monster Tacos has grown with the return of its Monster Tacos and the addition of the new Mummy Wrapped Taco, which the brand has described as "a monster-sized crispy taco, topped with melty American cheese, shredded lettuce & taco sauce, wrapped in a nacho cheesy bacon-stuffed warm flour tortilla."
The new menu items may already be available for in-app purchases at participating locations, but if not, they will officially launch on or sometime around Monday, Sept. 16. Fans can expect the limited-edition fall treats to be on menus until Nov. 10, 2024, or while supplies last.
