‘Alien throne' found in Egyptian pyramid
Scientists are investigating a potential alien artefact believed to be hiding in a secret chamber inside Egypt’s Giza pyramid.
As if the pyramids of Egypt weren’t mysterious enough, it’s now thought the throne of ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu is within the chamber.
But the kicker – the object is rumoured to have been carved from the core of a meteorite that fell to earth thousands of years ago.
Giulio Magli, an archaeoastronomy professor at Milan Polytechnic, said the throne would be made from meteoritic iron “that is fallen from the sky.”
“In these texts, it is said that the pharaoh, before reaching the stars of the north, will have to pass the ‘gates of the sky’ and sit in his ‘throne of iron’,” he said when explaining the significance of the chamber.
He did go one to admit it was just a theory at this stage but experts continue to search the mysterious ancient structure.
A long narrow passage into an inner chamber was discovered by scientists last year.
