School of Rock star Kevin Clark dies after tragic car accident
Child star Kevin Clark, best known for his role as drummer Freddy Jones in School of Rock, has tragically died at the age of 32 after a car accident.
TMZ reported he was struck by a Hyundai while cycling in a Chicago neighbourhood, and was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
Police told People he "sustained trauma throughout the body and was listed in critical condition".
Kevin didn't take on any other acting roles after the 2003 movie, instead choosing preferring to go for a career in the music industry.
His most recent project was the band Jessie Bess and the Intentions, which had its first show over the weekend, his mother told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Kevin caught up with School of Rock star Jack Black during a reunion in 2018, with Black taking to Instagram to share a tribute after hearing the "devastating news".
“Kevin is gone,” Black wrote.
“Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”
