New Saw X clip unveils grim "eye vacuum" trap

Saw X director Kevin Greutert previously teased that the upcoming film would be full of "dark shit", and judging from this newly-released clip, he wasn't lying.

The 'eye vacuum' trap is exactly as nasty as you expect, with some hapless victim tied down in a chair with two tubes connected to his eyes, with the threat of his eyeballs being sucked right out of their sockets if he doesn't escape in time.

"I've had my eyes on you, and I do not like what I see," the voice of Jigsaw says before the sucking begins.

To escape, all the man has to turn is turn a dial in front of his one hand from zero to five. Easy, right? Of course not, as every number pulls back one of his fingers on the hand in an excruciatingly painful manner.

If you want to know if he escapes, you're going to have to wait until the film releases.

In the clip, Jigsaw makes mention of the man working in a hospital, cleaning and sterilising the environment, but he himself has "a sickness". The released synopsis for the film reveals a little more about that.

Set between the second and third films, John Kramer travels to Mexico after hearing about an experimental medical procedure that could cure his cancer, but learns the people running the medical centre are just scammers, and decides to enact his vengeance upon them.

Greutert explained that the movie will be a lot simpler and more straightforward than expected, but "in a really good way", so fans who haven't seen a Saw in a while won't need to worry about catching up on all the lore.

Saw X will be released in cinemas on September 29.
