Sarah Ferguson, 60, has delighted royal fans - and sent some into hysterics - with a bizarre scooter suitcase video.

The Duchess of York, who is often known as simply “Fergie”, shared footage of herself riding on what she terms a “scooter suitcase” during a visit to Beijing Airport in China.

The video depicts Prince Andrew’s former wife travelling past the business class check-in desks.

In the footage, she tactically removes her sunglasses from her head before gearing up the motorised scooter suitcase and gliding ahead in a straight line.

She wears a black shift dress and green single-breasted jacket, and dangles an orange Mulberry handbag from one arm as she travels through the airport, laughing and smiling throughout.

The video has received an elated response from Fergie’s 248,000 Instagram followers.

One wrote, “This is why I adore you!” while another added: “Great , so funny, the world needs more like you.”

“This is all I needed to see for the day. That is all!,” was a further comment.

While plenty simply dubbed her a “legend”.

It is unknown why the Duchess is visiting China, although this may become clear if she posts further footage of her trip on social media.

Last month Fergie broke her silence and came out in support of her former husband Prince Andrew amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

The Duchess of York appeared to reveal that she is standing by her ex-husband at a charity event in London in October.

“I think the most important thing in life is family hood,” the 59-year-old told The Sun at a fundraising gala when asked if she was supporting the duke.
