Sam Wood and Snezana slam 'incompetent' Jetstar

As a business, one of the worst things you could do is get on the wrong side of a social media influencer who has the potential to share a bad experience with their thousands of loyal followers.

And that is exactly what happened when former Bachelor, Sam Wood and wife Snezana, were left waiting hours at an airport with their ‘sick baby’ Willow and ‘cranky teenager’ Eve following a issue with their Jetstar flight.

The family were meant to be flying from Hobart to Melbourne – a trip that should have taken only an hour and 15 minutes, but instead, the couple were forced to get off the plane they just boarded and sit through a six hour delay before being later told the flight was cancelled completely.

Naturally Sam and Snez – who have a third child on the way – were exhausted and enraged, and took to Instagram stories to rant about Jetstar’s ‘incompetence’ to their combined 561k followers.

“Seriously why would anyone in their right mind fly this airline” the fitness guru said in a video while he pointed the camera at Jetstar’s check-in desk.

“Six hour delay, no comms (communication), condescending staff, that to be frank were a little incompetent and then completely unapologetic!”

“Sick baby, pregnant mumma, cranky teenager – safe to say dad’s lost the plot,” he added while Snez can be heard saying ‘You suck’ in the background, directed at Jetstar.

On her own Instagram stories, Snez proved to be just as frustrated as she fumed, “This is the third time I’ve flown Jetstar and every single time without fail there has been a delay or cancellation or something.”

“Safe to say it’s going to be the last time.”

Meanwhile, despite being under the weather, their one-year-old daughter Willow appeared happy to provide entertainment for the rest of the family as she played about with Instagram’s face filters as they waited.

Thankfully it seemed Virgin Australia came to their rescue as Sam captioned one of his videos, “Thanks @VirginAustralia for saving us” followed by “jetstaraustralia NEVER again”.

Yahoo Lifestyle reached out to a Jetstar spokesperson who confirmed, “One of our flights from Hobart to Melbourne was cancelled yesterday due to an engineering fault with the aircraft, which required a replacement part to be flown in.”

“We apologise for the delay while our engineers worked to fix the issue, and we provided all our customers with alternative flights on Qantas and Jetstar to get everyone moving as quickly as possible,” they added.
