Sam Frost reveals awful way Blake Garvey actually dumped her

Can you believe it’s been two years since former Bachelor Blake Garvey ditched Sam Frost for third runner-up Louise Pillidge?

Sam has since found love through The Bachelorette with Sasha Mielczarek, but now the radio host has opened up for the first time about how Blake unceremoniously delivered the news that he’d made a mistake in crowning her the winner.

“It was with the Executive Producer of the show and the publicist… I think [Blake] had thought he’d made it very clear, but he hadn’t,” Sam tells Mamamia.

“Our publicist literally said [to Blake]: ‘What are you trying to say? Are you breaking up with Sam? What is going on?’ And then they looked at me and said ‘Sam, what is going on?’ And I go: ‘I dunno, don’t look at me. I’m not the one talking'.”

Sam says that after that, things quickly became even more humiliating, with Blake publically admitting that he was in love with Louise.

“It was hard for me to even recall how I was thinking, because I feel so removed from that person,” Sam says of the experience, before revealing how she was picked to become Australia’s very first Bachelorette.

“[The producers] weren’t taking no for an answer really, and it kept presenting itself and presenting itself – and then I felt that the universe wasn’t going to keep presenting itself to me if he wasn’t going to be there.

"It’s one of the most unique experiences… you kind of can’t figure it out until you are in it.

“I felt it [love] straight away with Sash – and I turned into a nervous wreck.”

And while Sam's relationship with Sasha is still going strong, Blake and Louise announced their break-up in April.
