Sabrina Carpenter Sizzles in Backless Gown on the Red Carpet at the 2025 Grammys
Sabrina Carpenter stole the Grammys red carpet when she arrived for the annual awards show on Sunday, Feb. 2, wearing a strapless ice blue gown.
Carpenter was already a winner upon her arrival shortly after 3 p.m. PT at the ceremony, taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif. The 25-year-old songstress won her first-ever Grammy in the Best Pop Solo Performance category. She is nominated for five other awards at Sunday's show.
Carpenter wore a sleek satin gown with a small train, which she fanned out around her feet as she posed for photographers on the red carpet. The halter-style dress featured a thin strap that looped around her neck and was tied with a knot at her throat. The gown's backless style was embellished with delicate, matching feathers around the waist and along the bottom of the train.
The singer wore her blond hair up, with a few loose curls left dangling in front of her ears. She completed the look with a pair of dangling silver earrings and a couple of rings that she wore on her middle fingers.
In addition to her nominations, the former Disney Channel star is set to dazzle audiences with a performance at the prestigious award show.
The pop superstar is no stranger to criticism over her salacious looks or lyrics, recently drawing bold disdain from '80s hitmakers Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman, who complained that the "Taste" songstress was "quite offensive" by "dress[ing] like a little girl" in an interview with The Sun.
“They’ve won all of their freedoms and their rights, women," Stock said. “They fought for everything they’ve got and now they’re throwing it away" with the way they dress.
Carpenter clapped back in a follow-up interview with the publication, as quoted by NME, calling the men's opinions "regressive."
“My message has always been clear – if you can’t handle a girl who is confident in her own sexuality, then don’t come to my shows,” she said.
In addition to her win in the Best Pop Solo Performance category, Carpenter's song "Espresso" received a Record of the Year nomination. She was also nominated for Best Remixed Recording for the track's Mark Ronson x FnZ Working Late remix, Song of the Year for "Please Please Please," and Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet, the latter two of which are competing against Taylor Swift's Tortured Poets Department.
I genuinely will pass away if Taylor is presenting the Grammy for Best New Artist and Sabrina wins. It would be so perfect 😭 pic.twitter.com/gLt18kHVpo

Fans are really hoping to see the Eras Tour artist present her former opener with the award for Best New Artist, where she's up against fellow openers Benson Boone and RAYE, alongside Doechii, Khruangbin, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey and Teddy Swims.
