Sabrina Carpenter Shares Her NSFW New Year's Resolution: 'Gonna Be Really Hard'

Sabrina Carpenter has an NSFW New Year's resolution.

On Jan. 2, the "Espresso" singer shared her goal for 2025 on Instagram — and it looks like she already broke it.

"new year’s resolution no more dick jokes it’s gonna be really hard," Carpenter, 25, captioned a carousel of pictures from a cozy winter getaway.

Fans were quick to point out her clever caption. "The fact u already lost the resolution just by this caption I-," one wrote. "help she made one in the caption im crying," another fan commented. "genius wordplay with the caption," a third applauded her.

The "Please Please Please" singer's Instagram post featured photoshoots with friends in the snow with ski lifts in the background, cozy tablescapes and puzzles. Carpenter posed in a blue dress covered with sparkling snowflake designs and a HelloKitty snowsuit.

Carpenter — who is up for six Grammy awards this year, including record of the year, album of the year and song of the year — is known for her tongue-in-cheek lyrics.

Her longtime vocal coach Eric Vetro told PEOPLE in December that he wasn't surprised when she started writing sexier lyrics. "She always had a fun sense of humor that was a tiny bit risqué in general," Vetro said. "It didn't surprise me because it didn't happen all at once."

He recalled the first time he saw Carpenter on stage and being shocked by "how charismatic and confident she was." "She would strut across that stage like she was an old pro, and this is when she was 16, 17 years old."

Over time, the "cheeky" lyrics of Carpenter's songs became more present and Vetro said it didn't shock him. "She rides that line really, really well," he explained, noting that she remains "classy."

"She never falls into anything that's trashy... It's sexy and fun, all the innuendos."
