After Rumors Of A Breakup, Sabrina Carpenter Made Rare Comments About Barry Keoghan

Sabrina Carpenter's (kind of) addressing the elephant in the room — her relationship with Barry Keoghan.

A little bit of context, in case you've been living under a literal rock: Sabrina and Barry have been rumored as a couple since the end of last year. Since then, they've attended the Met Gala together, and he even played her love interest in the video for her hit single "Please Please Please."

Last week, rumors circulated that Sabrina and Barry were on the outs. Since then, social media sleuths have picked up on some subtle hints that the gossip might just be that and nothing more.

So, in a new interview with the Guardian, Sabrina talked about Barry starring in the "Please Please Please" video — and, in the process, she made some rare comments about him, as well as her personal life in general.

Sabrina referred to working with Barry as "one of the best experiences I’ve ever had" and said she was "very honored and I got to work with such a great actor!”

The reporter then noted that she "[screwed] up her face" and repeated in an air of self-mockery, "Such a great actor!" Then, Sabrina addressed why she doesn't like talking about her personal life at large.

“It’s not what I signed up for, but I can’t really help when I was born,” she said about her privacy being on display in the age of social media. “I want to be honest — I want to just write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl."

"But it comes with the territory and I just have to be like...OK!”
