Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Camilla Cabello, GloRilla, and Rauw Alejandro have all been tapped to perform at this year’s ceremony, which has moved its date to Sept. 11. The awards show shifted back one day to avoid coinciding with the U.S. presidential debate, EW can confirm. The network will support nonprofits 9/11 Day and Tuesday’s Children in observance of the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Each of the five artists set to take the stage at New York's UBS Arena that evening has at least one nomination to their name.

Following the celebrated release of singles like “Please Please Please” and “Espresso,” Carpenter is one of the most-nominated artists on the night with six nods, including Artist of the Year. She is also set to release her sixth album, titled Short n' Sweet, less than two weeks before the event on Aug. 23.

Meanwhile, rapper GloRilla and Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro are currently tied with three nominations apiece. The “Yo Glo!” performer is up for Best Hip-Hop, Best Collaboration, and MTV Push Performance of the Year, while Alejandro is nominated for Best Latin, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography for his 2024 hit, “Touching the Sky.”

Taylor Swift leads the ceremony with 10 nominations following the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. She is followed closely behind by Post Malone, whom she collaborated with on her single "Fortnight," who has nine nods. If Swift wins Video of the Year for "Fortnight," she'll become the first artist to win the category three years in a row — after winning for "All Too Well: The Short Film" and "Anti-Hero" the last two years. It would be her fifth win in the category overall.

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the UBS Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
