Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Recruits Wonder Woman for His SickKids Foundation Annual Holiday Video: 'Did Someone Call for Help?'

Lynda Carter made a cameo in Deadpool's latest campaign

Ryan Reynolds has some serious star power for his annual holiday video in support of the SickKids Foundation!

“Don’t need a lasso to say how thankful I am for @sickkidsvs,” the actor, 48, captioned a social media post on Thursday, Dec. 12, raising awareness for SickKids Foundation. Any donation made at SickKidsSweaterLove.ca before midnight on Dec. 24 will be matched by Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively by up to $500,000.

SickKids Foundation is a Canadian organization established in 1972 to raise funds for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Its mission is to "inspire communities to invest in health and scientific advances to improve the lives of children and their families in Canada and around the world," per its website.

In the new campaign video, Deadpool and Kidpool, played by Reynolds and Lively's 8-year-old daughter Inez Reynolds, take a break while making stops during the night in their sleigh.

“Benevolence is thirsty work,” the Merc with a Mouth says as he tosses a bag of toys. His trusty sidekick asks where the duo is headed next.

“Well, I thought we’d eliminate sick kids,” Deadpool says, to which a surprised Kidpool responds, “Oh, dude, that’s so f----- up.”

Realizing his message was misconstrued, Deadpool tells his mini-me, “We’re eliminating the sickness by encouraging people to donate.”

According to Deadpool, he and Kidpool “are gonna need some help” since they’re “R-rated” and trying to help sick kids.

Their prayers are answered almost instantly as a loud boom brings Lynda Carter their way.

“Did someone call for help?” Carter, 73, who famously played Wonder Woman in the 1975 to 1979 TV series of the same name, asks.

Her arrival surprises Deadpool and Kidpool, who begin arguing as they hurl expletives at one another.

“Aren’t you a wonderful woman,” Deadpool says to their guest after a brief fuss with Kidpool.

After inquiring about their plan, Deadpool explains, “We’re gonna help eliminate sick kids by raising money for SickKids Hospital.”

Seemingly onboard, Carter asks what’s needed of her to accomplish their mission, to which Deadpool asks if she could “do ‘the thing.’ ”

“Stand back, here I go,” she warns as she steps into her iconic role and does the transformation spin. Instead of finishing in her costume with her magic golden Lasso of Truth, she has on an oversized ugly Christmas sweater, making for one epic wardrobe malfunction.

The three sit in silence before Deadpool and Kidpool simultaneously yell: “F---!”

A shocked Carter grabs her sweater, and asks, “Who did this?”

“The DC lawyers, I knew it,” the Marvel superhero responds, referring to Marvel's rival company.

Kidpool points out that Carter’s sweater is “f------ ugly,” as Deadpool suggests whoever switched her clothes is “probably the same guy that got [Henry] Cavill,” who starred as Superman in several DC feature films, “and that other Batman.”
