Royal snub against Princess Eugenie’s fiancé

It saw Meghan Markle being granted the title of Duchess of Sussex when she married into the royal family in May, but insiders have revealed Princess Eugenie’s fiancé Jack Brooksbank won’t be receiving the same treatment with reports he won’t be given an official title after the couple’s October wedding.

Princess Eugenie is set to tie the knot with Jack in just a few months, with insiders now quashing whispers the wine merchant was to be given the title of Earl of Northallerton after the nuptials.

The lack of title will instead see the bride known as HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs James Brooksbank.

But instead of being bothered for the royal snub with Jack remaining a ‘commoner’, insiders say the princess isn’t fazed at all, and in fact, prefers it this way.

“Eugenie couldn’t care less about titles and is perfectly happy to be Mrs Brooksbank,” a source told The Express.

Princess Eugenie and her sister Beatrice are not full-time working royals, and as such aren’t listed on the Court Circular of official royal appearances.

While Eugenie might not be following in the footsteps of Meghan and Prince Harry when it comes to titles, the bride-to-be has revealed she’s taking a leaf out of her cousin Harry’s book with the wedding details.

Just like the royal wedding, Eugenie and Jack will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel, and are giving the opportunity for 1200 members of the public to experience the wedding.
