Here are some of the best white and rose wines out there, that don't cost a bomb:

Stamp of Australia Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, $7.99, at Dan Murphy's
This is an easy to drink wine with flavours of snow pea and citrus. It's light and fresh, and is delicious with seafood or risotto.
Smith & Hooper Pinot Grigio 2017 Vintage, $21.99, at BoozeBud
This has delicious aromas of fresh pear, nashi and wild strawberry, and tastes of sweet apple. It's great with good such as green salads, avocados, and chicken.
Wolf & Shepherd Watervale Riesling 2018, $27.99 at Dan Murphy's
Made exclusively for Dan Murphy's by the 5 Star James Halliday Winery, Watervale. It has vibrant notes of notes of lemon, lemonade and passionfruit, with hints of sherbet, lime sorbet and lime curd. It's fresh, clean and extremely drinkable.
Louis Michel Montee de Tonnerre 1er cru, Chablis 2018, $85 at Langtons
If you're after a special drop, this is it. Drink it in the sun, with a bucket of prawns, and enjoy.
Evans & Tate Expressions Butterball Chardonnay, $20 at BWS
If you love a rich, creamy Chardonnay, this is your tipple. It's a classic style Chardy that's full of flavour.

Best rose wines
La Planchelière Cabernet d'Anjou Rosé, $26 at BWS
This French wine has won several gold medals at international competitions. It's slightly sweet, but fruity and easy to drink.
Gladstone Vineyard Estate Rosé 2019, $30 at Dan Murphy's
This regularly gets high marks from wine reviewers. It has a scent of fresh strawberries and raspberries, layered with vanilla and white chocolate. It's great paired with cheese and nibbles.
La Baume Rosé 2020, $21.99 at The Wine Collective
This blend of Grenache and Syrah from Languedoc is dry, fresh and zingy. It makes a perfect aperitif or accompaniment to oysters or seafoods. It has notes of wild strawberry and red currents.
Hahndorf Hill Rosé, $24, at BoozeBud
This has won four gold medals, including one at the Australian & NZ Boutique Wine Show 2020. It has an aroma of red cherries, rich baked apple and gentle spice. It's delicious with seafood, and South East Asian cuisine, particularly anything with chilli.
Penfolds Max's Rose, $29.99 at BoozeBud
This pinot noir rose is a tribute to Penfold's former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, who died in 1975. This is as you'd expect from Penfold's - a great wine that is drinkable and delicious.
