RPatz was nearly fired from Twilight

Robert Pattinson has revealed that his rebellious behaviour almost got him fired from the first film of the Twilight series.

Robert told the New York Times that he wanted to bring a high level of intensity to work because he wanted to dive deep into the character of Edward Cullen, who was written as angst-ridden and isolated.

"I was so determined to make it so serious," he told the publication.

However, he says he felt that kind of energy wasn't working well with the rest of the cast and crew.

"I was fighting with everybody in control all the time,"he said, confessing that it got so bad he almost got the boot, until his agent flew in to straighten him out.

The 31-year-old opened up about working on the Twilight films saying, "It was an amazing luxury, amazing luck as well, to have fallen into it with a group of people I worked on it with," he told the New York Times.

"I didn’t have to kiss anybody’s rear end the entire time,” he continued. "I don’t think I did, anyway.”

Meanwhile Robert has recently been in Cannes to promote his new film Good Time.

The film has been receiving lots of positive reviews since its debut.
