Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Reportedly Considering Aaron Rodgers For Veep
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gave voters yet another chance to not take his presidential campaign seriously.
The son of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy is running for president as an independent and is reportedly considering controversial NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers as a possible running mate, according to The New York Times.
Kennedy confirmed to the paper that Rodgers is indeed on his short list, as is former pro wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura.
Although RFK Jr. was also reportedly considering offering the gig to former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and failed Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, those people have either turned down the job or conversations haven’t progressed as quickly as they have with Rodgers and Ventura.
There’s been no firm confirmation on who might sign on to the RFK Jr. ticket, but the Times reported that the domain name kennedyrodgers.com was registered last week.
If you’re just looking at political compatibility, a Kennedy-Rodgers ticket makes sense since both men tend to promulgate conspiracy theories, especially about vaccines.
Folks on social media gave the possible presidential ticket the respect it deserves.
RFK Jr. with either NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers or ex-wrestler Jesse Ventura as his VP running mate is the dumbest ticket since Trump and whoever the hell he ends up selecting. We are living in an American era of profound imbecility — and it's scary as fuck for rational people.

If Aaron Rodgers is inaugurated as VP in January and the Jets make the Super Bowl in February, would the Secret Service have to gun down opposing pass rushers? These are the questions we really need answered.

Aaron Rodgers gonna walk to the podium on Inauguration Day, get injured, and sit the whole four years out. https://t.co/DiqlaAtmQ3

Nothing would be funnier than the Jets asking Zach Wilson to come back and start again cause Aaron Rodgers wanted to win 1.8% of the popular vote as a VP candidate

Please someone for the love of god tell Aaron there have been years since 2021 https://t.co/lnXIUM9pPu

Look, do I think Aaron Rodgers will spurn the #Jets to become a VP running mate? Of course not.
Am I a little concerned a campaign website domain was registered for Rodgers and not any other candidate?
Yeah. That’s definitely weird and I can’t stop thinking about it.— The Jet Press (@TheJetPress) March 12, 2024
RFK Jr.'s top two VP picks:
• Anti-vaxxer football player
• Russian state-sponsored journalist
Incredible, deeply serious campaign. pic.twitter.com/SsK5lnPurE— Kareem Rifai 🌐 (@KareemRifai) March 12, 2024
I know Aaron Rodgers is dead serious about potentially running for VP, but something about him not answering RFK Jr.’s calls about an important war or the nuclear codes because he didn’t FaceTime him is hilarious I’m sorry

If you think Aaron Rodgers would make a good VP then you’ve probably played football longer than Aaron Rodgers. https://t.co/5uzhJlSDeX
