Rita Ora Revives ‘80s Power Dressing With Androgynous Twist in Primark Boxy Suit, Chunky Jewelry and Bleached Mullet at 2024 Fashion Awards in London
Rita Ora commanded attention at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London with a look that combined masculine elements of ’80s power dressing and fantastical details, balanced with subtle, feminine touches.
For the red carpet, Ora chose a bespoke oversized grey blazer from Primark layered over a pinstriped collared shirt, accented with a polka-dot salmon-hued tie. Her accessories amplified the look’s boldness, featuring large spiral silver earrings and a multitude of steampunk-inspired rings and bangles stacked to mimic a gauntlet.

Completing her edgy ensemble was her striking blonde mullet, styled with spiked edges at the front and softened with curls at the back. Ora completed her look with a sparkling orange lip as a final touch of metallic boldness.
Power dressing, particularly with suits, had a major moment in 2024 leading up to the U.S. presidential election, and it has proved its staying power throughout the year. Jennifer Lopez opted for a sultrier take on the trend last week, wearing a suit-style Patou minidress while promoting her film “Unstoppable” in Beverly Hills. The royal family, including Kate Middleton and Queen Letizia of Spain, have also favored suited styles throughout the year.
The 2024 Fashion Awards, held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, celebrated global fashion excellence. Honorees include Tom Ford for Outstanding Achievement, A$AP Rocky as Cultural Innovator and Tyler Mitchell with the Isabella Blow Award. The event highlighted innovation and creativity in the fashion industry.
