Richard Gere's Wife Alejandra Silva Says He 'Loves' to Read Stories to Their Children: 'Very Devoted and Present Father'
The 'Pretty Woman' actor recently moved to Spain with his wife and their children

The Pretty Woman star, 75, and his wife Alejandra Silva, 41, recently sat down with ELLE España and gushed about their life in Spain. The Spanish publicist also praised Gere for being a wonderful dad to their children.
"Richard is a very devoted and present father. He loves to read them stories. It seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great dad,” Silva told the outlet, before explaining his other roles around the house. "He doesn’t cook. I do it, but when I cook, he plays the guitar.”

"The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum. We are happier than ever," Gere told the outlet. "[Alejandra], because she is at home and I because, if she is happy, I am happy."
In addition to his children currently living with him in Spain, Gere is also the father to son Homer, 24, who he shares with his second wife Carey Lowell.

“My wife is Spanish, and we’re going there for her family, her friends, her culture," he said. "The kids are bilingual, so it’s really going to be great for them.”
Gere and Silva tied the knot in 2018, after they began dating in 2014. At the time, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair were "extraordinarily happy."
“They’re so comfortable with each other, have fun together and are looking forward to their future together,” the source said.
