Richard Gere's family is preparing for their first Christmas in their new home.
On Friday, Nov. 30, the actor's wife, Alejandra Silva, shared a sweet snap on Instagram from their home in Spain as the couple's little ones helped to set up some Christmas decor. While one child hangs ornaments on their large, lit-up Christmas tree, the other unpacks boxes of Santa statues and seasonal knick-knacks.
Gere, 75, and Silva share sons Alexander, 5, and James, 4, plus Gere's son Homer, 24, whom he shares with ex Carey Lowell, and Silva's son Albert, 11.
"As James says, mom, mom, today is the first day of Christmas! How I like their energy, their innocence ♥️ , this year finally, Christmas in Spain! #merrychristmas #feliznavidad," the proud mom captioned her post, translated from Spanish to English.

In April, Gere told Vanity Fair Spain that he planned to move to Silva's home country of Spain to allow her to be closer to her relatives.
"For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture," he said of his wife. "She was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so it is only fair that I give her at least another six living in hers."
After sharing his desire to relocate to the European country earlier this year, the actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in late November and revealed that he and his family will be celebrating Thanksgiving in Madrid as he discussed their move there.
"Our kids are bilingual so they’re going to flourish there,” Gere said of Spain.
Host Jimmy Fallon asked Gere — who also joked that he is bilingual and can “speak 15 languages perfectly” — if he will be spending Thanksgiving in Madrid, to which he replied, “There in Spain, yeah.”
“My wife grew up in a big Spanish family, like a big Italian family, and her grandmother was kind of the glue that held that all together," he continued. "And the grandmother passed away [about] two years ago, so my wife, I can see her morphing into the new grandmother of this extended family. So she’s already planning for 35 people for Sunday lunches."
The couple’s move comes after Gere sold his Connecticut home for $11 million in October. Gere lived in the six-bedroom, 11-bathroom property with Silva and their kids for two years after purchasing it in 2022 for $10.8 million, according to local media outlet the New Canaan Advertiser.
