Reports Harry and Meghan 'could flee' the UK

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering ‘fleeing the UK’ in favour of Hollywood, amid the suffocating attention the couple’s every move attracts.

The rumours come amid a series of reports which suggest the move across the pond could be inspired by Meghan wanting to be closer to her mother and Harry’s new onscreen project with Oprah.

“Harry and Meghan are seriously considering a life away from the royal family,” a palace source reportedly told New Idea.

“There are fears that they could flee to the US with the baby – and there are serious crisis talks happening behind palace walls about it.

“The truth is, Meghan wants to go back and Harry just wants to make her happy. She misses acting and Harry thinks he can continue his philanthropic work in the US and has even been talking to Oprah about working together.”

The speculation comes just one week after Prince Harry announced he and US-based Oprah would join forces for an Apple TV series focusing on mental health.

And while the duke and duchess – who are due to become parents any day now – may be excited at the thought of a life stateside, their official duties may place them elsewhere.

In fact, it has now been widely reported Meghan and Harry may undertake a multi-year move to somewhere in Africa – potentially on the urging of Prince William.

The explosive claims follow reports the duke and duchess are being pegged for a ‘bespoke’ role on the continent, and seemingly never ending rumours of a rift between the royal couples.

This speculation has only been spurred on by the Sussex’s recent move to Windsor and an earlier choice to break away and separate their royal household from the Cambridges’.
