Yahoo Lifestyle Report: Titans game vs. Bills is on after no new positive COVID-19 tests
The Tennessee Titans will reportedly play their rescheduled game against the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday night after they received no new positive COVID-19 results from their latest round of testing.

This will be the first game the Titans will play in two weeks. Their facility was originally closed on Sept. 29 after three players and five staff members tested positive for COVID-19. That was only the start of the outbreak, which would eventually spread to 24 Titans players and staff members. Their Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was postponed and moved to Week 7, and their Week 5 game against the Bills was moved to Tuesday.
Titans still under investigation
The Titans have reportedly been under investigation by the NFL and the NFL Players Association for violating the health and safety protocols put into place to protect teams from COVID-19. According to Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson, the Titans were found to have violated protocols (such as mask wearing) both before and during their Week 4 emergency bye.
That’s not all, though. Titans players reportedly held an informal workout at a high school football field after their facility was first closed. When a team facility is closed due to COVID-19, there is also a ban on face-to-face activities — a ban the Titans reportedly ignored. They experienced a second wave of positive tests after the first week of their outbreak, and that informal workout could have played a role.
The Titans are expected to be punished by the NFL for what appear to be numerous violations of the COVID-19 protocols. In a memo sent on Oct. 5, the NFL threatened fines, the loss of draft picks, and the possible forfeiture of games for protocol violations that “result in virus spread requiring adjustment to the schedule or otherwise impacting other teams.”
