Reese's Rumored New Product Has Fans Ready to 'Buy a Million of These'

It sounds like something big could be in the works at Reese's.

Rumor has it that The Hershey Company is working on releasing an all-new spin-off of its beloved peanut butter cup, and since fans are already begging to "buy a million of these," we reached out to the beloved sweets brand to see if we could find out more about the highly-anticipated item.

Days after the confectionary brand dropped a now sold-out Deconstructed Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Kit that promised customers the opportunity to DIY their own mega version of the treat, a trusted food blogger reported that the brand appears to be in the process of making the jar of fan-favorite PB filling included in the kit available on its own at retailers nationwide—and no, this doesn't appear to be the same as the Reese's-branded peanut butter spread already on the market.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the fast food influencer known online as Snackolator revealed that he was tipped off by a Reese's customer who claims to have "got a package with a few of these jars and note that said they're not for sale in stores *yet*."

The food blogger–who has amassed nearly half a million followers simply by being one of the first to taste-test and report on new releases–explained that they believed the quality of the intel to be good, "which makes me think that maybe these could be headed to stores!"

Instagram users immediately swarmed the post, ready to sell out another Hershey product.

"I would buy a MILLION of those," one declared. "No questions asked."

"I would devour that," another admitted.

"Definitely needs to be sold at stores!" a third cheered. "Spoon please!😂."

We reached out to a rep at The Hershey Company, and while they didn't confirm the upcoming release, they didn't exactly deny it either, telling Parade: "The Reese’s Deconstructed Peanut Butter Cup Kit sold out faster than a chocolate melts! While we can’t spill the exact number, we can tell you that fans couldn’t get enough of our twist on the classic. It's safe to say—those cups didn’t last long!"

Teasing a second opportunity at the kits (or maybe even the chance to smother the fan-favorite filling on everything you love), the statement continued, suggesting this could go from rumor to reality before anyone even has time to finish all of their leftover Halloween candy.

"And because we believe in delivering perfection – even when you DIY – we’re looking at bringing it back soon. So, whether the perfect cup means extra peanut butter or a smooth chocolate shell, stay tuned... because a second chance at Reese’s perfection may be on the horizon!" the brand added.

While it's by no means confirmation, it's also not a "no," so we'll take it! In the meantime, impatient fans can try making their own Reese's filling, or settle for one of the company's other recent and somewhat divisive additions, like its Red Velvet flavor and its version of the classic peanut butter-filled pretzel.
