Reba McEntire will 'never forget' seeing “Reba” costar Steve Howey totally naked on “Shameless”: 'Oh my gosh!'

"It was too much," "Reba" and "Happy's Place" costar Melissa Peterman agreed.

Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman still haven't recovered from Reba costar Steve Howey’s revealing scene in the Shameless series pilot.

Witnessing Howey’s brief but memorable full-frontal scene in the raunchy Showtime dramedy’s 2011 debut was a traumatic experience, his former costars told Entertainment Tonight while reuniting with Howey for his appearance on their new sitcom Happy’s Place,

"I’ll never forget us coming to work,” McEntire shared. “‘Did you see Steve last night?’ ‘Yes I did.’”

She then mimicked her live reaction to the episode, shielding her eyes and exclaiming, “‘Oh! Oh my gosh.’”

Peterman chimed in, “And I said, ‘You need to warn us if there’s gonna be some unclothing happening in Shameless because you’re like our brother!’ It was too much!”

That said, she did come around to checking out the Showtime drama, but only after taking ample steps to recover. “I then did watch it later after I washed my eyes out,” Peterman joked, “Because you’re so good on it.”

The frequency of his nude scenes certainly wasn’t lost on Howey, who quipped, “That’s why I started working out, ‘cause I was naked all the time.”

As for whether he would be losing his shirt during his stint on Happy’s Place, Howey joked, “I don’t know. We might have some rewrites.”

Meanwhile, Peterman is more than willing to “give America what it wants,” and told Howey, “You’re gonna take your shirt off at some point.”

The trio appeared together on the country singer’s self-titled sitcom for six seasons. McEntire starred as a single mother whose suburban life is thrown upside down, and Peterman starred as her ex-husband’s girlfriend while Howey played her future son-in-law. The series concluded in 2007 and Howey went on to star as Kevin Ball in Shameless, the dysfunctional family drama that spanned 11 seasons.

McEntire and Peterman have reunited for new NBC sitcom Happy's Place, in which McEntire stars as a woman who inherits her late father's restaurant alongside a half-sister she never knew she had (Hocus Pocus 2's Belissa Escobedo). Peterman plays cheerful and clingy bartender Gabby, who looks to forge a connection with her new boss.

Earlier this year, Peterman likened reuniting with Reba to "riding a bike,” saying it was easy to revive the onscreen chemistry since they’ve remained close since wrapping on Reba.

"We've been friends ever since," Peterman told Entertainment Weekly. "We've done other things together. I got to go on tour with her and open the show and do standup, and we vacation together. We hang out, and we just were waiting for another project so we could actually go to work together again. I think it's evolved to even — you know, we had six years together, a 100-and-some episodes — we have such a shorthand."
