This week fresh reports surfaced Karl Stefanovic’s role on Today may be in jeopardy.
Nine bosses are desperate for “something to change” following a series low ratings for the breakfast show, according to New Idea.
So much so, it has been reported by the magazine Karl’s at risk and Network Ten’s Grant Denyer has been thrown in the mix to potentially replace the 43-year-old.
However, there’s one simple reason why that certainly won’t be happening any time soon.
- Plenty of mums will relate to Carrie Bickmore’s post about morning sickness
- Tracy Grimshaw lifts the lid on her love life
Grant’s management explicitly denied any claims Grant was jumping ship to Nine when contacted by Be for comment.
Why not though? Well, it’s simply because the Gold Logie nominee has just re-signed a deal with Ten.
At the beginning of June, the network announced the 40-year-old would be hosting a new family game show Game Of Games.
As for Channel Nine, the network declined to comment on any claims about Karl’s role and Grant replacing him.
So, what can we take from all of this? Karl’s role on Today is safe… for now.
